woah, dood. i remember lotsa phone convos with you, at this time, and none of them touched on this. way to keep a deep dark secret only to unleash it on the press! :) seriously, glad you made it out to tell the story. congrats on the piece. xo.mo
I finished reading your article --which I of course forwarded along -- and immediately came to your blog. I like it, both the article and the blog, that is, and so much, that Side Shows has been created here, too. Inspiration to write. Ok, for now, just a picture to think about.
Anyway, your article is fantastic. But I must say that I prefer the 6-hour narrated version, a highlight of our car trip to the Rako wedding in Montreal. Or perhaps it's just that I like knowing a story for a story, of being an accomplice for a moment.
I wont be able to see you on TV, but perhaps you can attach some video clips or stills to get a look at your emerging fame.
Add craigslist to yours links, no?
Besitos.
Brain - daughter Rachel, visiting here either side of cruising around the Mexican coast, told us your tale. Then she printed off the New York article for us to read.
Very neatly written. (As Sofia says, a second-hand, verbal version gains much in the telling - even while your article's discipline is laudable.)
Thanks for the entertainment, and best wishes for a speedy recovery from the event.
